Hampton Inn - 942 Mission Street

Slated to open in June 2015, The Hampton Hotel at 942  Mission Street will ho ld 174 rooms and a green roof on its Mission Street elevation. Mid block, a  tower will  span 15 stories with lower elevations along Jessie and Mission Streets. Located near Mint Plaza and Moscone Center, the hotel expects to be a mid-priced alternative to other hotels in the area.


 


1095 Market Street Update

 

SF Gate reports 1095 Market Street will become the city's first Japanese-style "capsule" hotel.  Synapse Capital, who purchased the building, plans to partner with London's Yotel. The hotel will have approximately 200 rooms.

986 Market Street - Equator Coffees

SF Gate's Inside Scoop SF reports that  Equator Coffees will open a cafe in the Warfield  Building. It will be Equator's first time venturing across the Golden Gate Bridge from Mill Valley.  Designed by Boor Bridges Architecture, the new cafe will include outdoor seating and state-of-the-art coffee  brewing technology.

Photo Essay Captures Mid-Market, Opens June 19th as part of "Sundays at the Mint"


 

The San Francisco Museum at the Mint, in collaboration with the North of Market-Tenderloin Community Benefit District, presents 50 portraits as a photographic essay of the Tenderloin, South of Market, and Mid-Market neighborhoods. The opening reception is Thursday, June 19th, 6-9 pm, and the photo exhibition will open every Sunday from 1-4 pm through August 17th as part of "Sundays at the Mint" programming. Learn more.


Central Market Microhood & Art Walk

On May 15th, from 6-8pm, Central Market NOW and Bold Italic brought us   the Microhood & Art Walk event, which aims to provide revelry, food, drink and local art exhibitions to the street while promoting bu sinesses in the district.
