SF Business Times - The notorious Market Street Cinema strip joint is set to be razed to make way for a housing complex after the magnate who controls virtually all of San Francisco's adult entertainment clubs agreed to sell the property to a developer.

SF's Vision Zero to include 6th Street

San Francisco officials announced a plan to eliminate all fatal collisions within ten years.  Inspired by a  model first started in Sweden, you can read about the project on SF Gate and The Bold Italic.
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT NEWS 

STRAND THEATER RENOVATION

Bought by ACT in 2012, ground broke this quarter for a renovation of this historic theater. Once completed, the theater will have 300 seats and plans to showcase both formal and informal performances. Read more here.





MARKET STREET PLACE

Construction is ready to begin on the $150 million Market Street Place at the site of the old St. Francis Theater. Once completed, 935 Market Street will be home to a 225,000 sq ft glass mall.  Construction is slated to last two years.  Read more here.

Central Market Open House

On Thursday March 13th, CMCBD hosted an Open House at 1025 Market Street Event Space to celebrate expansion of the Central Market District, its numerous real estate developments underway and the many city and community groups working in Central Market District.  Over 500 attendees enjoyed the amazing garden ballroom space, full bars and DJ provided by PlatinumSF.
