Our 2016 Tracking Report noted that foundation funding for LGBTQ issues surpassed $200 million for the first time ever. While the increase was largely driven by philanthropic support addressing the Pulse Nightclub Massacre in Orlando, a number of foundations also helped contribute to that increase. In 2016, 91 foundations increased their LGBTQ grantmaking and 109 foundations decreased their LGBTQ grantmaking. Click here to read more!

Funders for LGBTQ Issues in collaboration with Global Philanthropy Project is pleased to release the 2015-2016 Global Resources Report: Philanthropic & Government Support for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Intersex Communities, a comprehensive report on the state of foundation and government funding for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and intersex (LGBTI) issues. The report finds a 35% increase in number of reported grants and shows that global LGBTI funding grew by 23%, or $100 million (USD), since the last reporting period. Requests for Proposals

The Gamma Mu Foundation seeks applications for the 2018-19 grants cycle. The funding this year is established at $165,000. The foundation provides funds to projects serving U.S. rural and underserved areas that offer support to persons/families with HIV/AIDS as well as to organizations meeting special needs in LGBTQ subpopulations such as youths, seniors, and victims of domestic violence. In all cases, the Foundation seeks to provide funds to U.S. organizations serving rural and underserved areas where the need is great and the resources often very limited. Application deadline is
May 31, 2018.

Stonewall Community Foundation is now accepting applications for the Levin-Goffe Scholarship for LGBTQI Immigrants. The Levin-Goffe Scholarship was established to help support undocumented immigrants pursuing higher education in New York City who also identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, or intersex (LGBTQI). The scholarship will help offset some of the financial burdens immigrant students may face, while investing in the future of the LGBTQI community. Applications are due by noon on Wednesday,
June 6th, 2018.

ViiV Healthcare announced the opening of the Positive Action Community Grants 2018 funding cycle for organizations in the U.S. and Puerto Rico, part of ViiV Healthcare's ongoing commitment to supporting community organizations that work to address HIV/AIDS disparities in the U.S. and close the gaps in care for those most affected.
