Research, Resources and Updates 
  • "Key Facts on U.S. Foundations"
    The Foundation Center has published its key findings on U.S. foundation giving in 2011, complete with excellent infographics.  
  • "Foundations to support groups denied Catholic Campaign funding"
    The Crossroads Fund, Alphawood Foundation, Chicago Foundation for Women, Gill Foundation and the Pierce Family Foundation have created a new fund, the Solidarity Fund, to support immigration advocacy groups that lost funding from the the Catholic Campaign for Human Dignity because of their support for marriage equality in Illinois.    
Requests for Proposals
  • Community First Foundation
    Community First Foundation will be awarding up to $25,000 to improve health care access and quality for LGBT Coloradans and their families via education and training.  Proposals are due Thursday, November 7th. 
  • Arcus Foundation
    The Arcus Foundation has launched the Arcus Forum,  and as such, Arcus is seeking proposals that promote dialogue on the topic of LGBT rights and ape conservation.  The first deadline is December 1st.  
  • Neighborhood Funders Group
    NFG has issued a call for nominations, seeking people to serve on their board of directors.  Nominations are due November 5th. 

Recent Grant Award Announcements

  • Arcus Foundation
    The Arcus Foundation has announced its fall 2013 social justice grantees, awarding grants to 25 organizations, nine of whom are new grantees, spread across multiple countries working to advance LGBT acceptance. 
  • The Williams Institute
    The Williams Institute has announced its 2013-2014 small research grant recipients.   
  • Nike
    Nike has awarded the LGBT Sports Coalition $200,000 to fund projects of coalition members.
