• "Key Facts on U.S. Foundations"
  The Foundation Center has published its key findings on U.S. foundation giving in 2011, complete with excellent infographics.  

• "Post-DOMA, Significantly More Lesbian and Gay Adults Wish to Avoid Jobs in States where Marriage Equality is Absent"
  A new Harris Poll commissioned by Out & Equal Workplace Advocates finds that 49% of gay and lesbian adults would consider changing jobs if their employer moved them to a state without marriage equality, which is up from 30% last year. 

• Infographic: "Extending Same-Sex Marriage to Couples in Hawaii"
  Just in time for the Hawaii state legistature special session to focus on marriage equality, the Williams Institute has released an infographic showing how same-sex marriage in Hawaii would affect the population and the economy.

• "Recommendations for Enhancing the Climate for LGBT Students & Employees in Health Professional Schools"
  GLMA's new report wrestles with how health professional schools can be more equitable, inclusive and welcoming from an LGBT standpoint. 

• "Foundations to support groups denied Catholic Campaign funding"
  The Crossroads Fund, Alphawood Foundation, Chicago Foundation for Women, Gill Foundation and the Pierce Family Foundation have created a new fund, the Solidarity Fund, to support immigration advocacy groups that lost funding from the the Catholic Campaign for Human Dignity because of their support for marriage equality in Illinois.    

• "Small Steps to Big Change: Why Support for Local Latino Groups Is Critical to LGBTQ Organizing"
  Hispanics in Philanthropy has released a new briefing paper and accompanying video exploring LGBTQ and Latino nonprofit collaboration.   

• The Williams Institute reports on LGBT POC individuals and same-sex couples
  The Williams Institute has released a series of reports on LGBT POC individuals and same-sex couples, which include: LGBT African-American Individuals and African-American Same-sex Couples; LGBT Latino/a Individuals and Latino/a Same-sex Couples; and LGBT Asian and Pacific Islander Individuals and Same-sex Couples. 

• Community First Foundation
  Community First Foundation will be awarding up to $25,000 to improve health care access and quality for LGBT Coloradans and their families via education and training.  Proposals are due Thursday, November 7th. 

• San Diego Human Dignity Foundation/San Diego HIV Funding Collaborative
  The San Diego HIV Funding Collaborative at the San Diego Human Dignity Foundation has issued an RFP to community-based organizations providing HIV/AIDS prevention & education and/or care & treatment programs and services.  The deadline is Friday, November 1st.   

• Arcus Foundation
  The Arcus Foundation has launched the Arcus Forum,  and as such, Arcus is seeking proposals that promote dialogue on the topic of LGBT rights and ape conservation.  The first deadline is December 1st.  

• Neighborhood Funders Group
  NFG has issued a call for nominations, seeking people to serve on their board of directors.  Nominations are due November 5th. 

Recent Grant Award Announcements

• Arcus Foundation
  The Arcus Foundation has announced its fall 2013 social justice grantees, awarding grants to 25 organizations, nine of whom are new grantees, spread across multiple countries working to advance LGBT acceptance. 

• Elton John AIDS Foundation
  The Elton John AIDS Foundation has announced a new round of grantees, totaling nearly $2 million.  

• The Williams Institute
  The Williams Institute has announced its 2013-2014 small research grant recipients.   

• Nike
  Nike has awarded the LGBT Sports Coalition $200,000 to fund projects of coalition members.

• San Diego Human Dignity Foundation
  The San Diego Human Dignity Foundation awarded $10,000 to the San Diego Diplomacy Council. 

• United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
  The Network for LGBT Health Equity has joined Centerlink and will become an official Centerlink program courtesy of a 5-year, $3 million grant from the CDC.
