This somber day reminds us of the critical need to provide support to trans communities. "Not Safe at Home: Violence and Discrimination against LGBT People in Jamaica"
Human Rights Watch has released a 86-page report on violence and institutional discrimination towards LGBT people in Jamaica. The full report can be downloaded here.

State of the States: Funding the State-based Movement
Equality Federation has released Part 1 of the 2014 report on U.S. state-based LGBT advocacy organizations. This report focuses on funding and sustainability and can be read here.

Report Shows ACA Has Lowered Rate of Uninsured LGBT People
New research from the Center for American Progress shows that the Affordable Care Act is making significant headway in connecting LGBT people with high-quality health insurance. The report can be read here.

Requests for Proposals

American Psychological Foundation
American Psychological Foundation has released a call for proposals for its $15,000 Wayne F. Placek Grants to support empirical research on any topic related to lesbian, gay or bisexual issues within the fields of behavioral and social sciences. The deadline is March 1, 2015.
