The 2014 mid-term elections will be the first major elections with national offices on the ballot since the Supreme Court's decision in the Shelby County, AL v. Holder case. Joint Affinity Groups Unity Summit
This summer JAG will bring together a national network of more than 2,500 members and more than 20,000 philanthropic, nonprofit, and corporate professionals of all ages: AAPI, Black, Latino, Native, women, men, LGBTQ, and people with disabilities to work together to eliminate disparities across race, gender, sexual orientation, and disability. ... Learn more here.

Requests for Proposals
  • The Other Foundation
    The Other Foundation has announced the launch of its first pilot grantmaking initiative to advance the rights and well-being of LGBTI people in Southern Africa. The deadline has been extended to February 10.
  • Trans Justice Funding Project
    The Trans Justice Funding Project is awarding grants ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 to organizations run by and for trans communities with a budget of less than $250,000.  The deadline is February 15.
  • National Committe for Responsive Philanthropy
    NCRP is accepting nominations for its 2014 NCRP Impact Awards, which celebrate foundations of all shapes and sizes that have shown leadership, innovation and commitment to solving the countries toughtest problems. The deadline is March 1.

Recent Grant Award Announcements

  • Human Rights Campaign
    HRC has awarded $100,000 to the Russia Freedom Fund.  The fund, which is housed at Arcus Foundation, seeks to foster a safer environment for LGBT people in Russia by supporting local organizations that have been effective at combating discrimination and violence.  
  • Stoli Vodka
    To demonstrate that Stoli shares the same desire for justice and equality as the LGBT community, Stoli has awarded $300,000 to the L.A. Gay and Lesbian Center.
