Dear Resident:

The city of Goodyear and Archer-Western Construction will be installing four new reclaimed water injection wells along the east side of Estrella Parkway between Harrison and Van Buren. These injection wells will allow the city of Goodyear to receive full credits for the water being recharged into the aquifer and helps augment the city’s water portfolio. The project will also include installation of electrical conduit and piping.

HOW WILL THIS PROJECT AFFECT ME?

The far right, northbound lane of Estrella will be closed to vehicular traffic during excavation.

There will be a sidewalk detour on the east side of Estrella between Harrison and Van Buren.

There will be no disruption to service. This project does not tie into any water or sewer pipelines.  

WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO THE LANDSCAPING ALONG THE ROAD?

The contractor will take care to disturb as little landscaping as possible. What does get disturbed will be replaced to an equal or better condition at the end of the project. 

WILL THE CONSTRUCTION BE NOISY?

Some of the equipment used will be loud and the contractor will follow the city of Goodyear’s noise ordinance: no work will begin before 6AM nor continue after 7PM. No work will occur on weekends. 

WHEN WILL THE PROJECT BEGIN?

The schedule for the projects is as follows:

Installation of sidewalk pedestrian detours: Mid-August through December 2016

Closure of right-hand lane: August through December 2016

Construction work for injection wells:  September through December 2016

Completion of all work:  March 2017
