Alamosa Park Sculpture Dedication

Join us this Saturday to dedicate the newest Public Art Sculpture, "Stalking Her Prey" by local artist Reynaldo "Sonny" Rivera

The City of Albuquerque Public Art Program, Department of Arts and Culture, and Albuquerque Arts Board invite you to the dedication of Sonny's bronze sculpture, "Stalking Her Prey."


Sonny's sculpture is the latest sculpture commissioned by the Albuquerque Public Art Program and serves as a landmark for the Alamosa Neighborhood and represents the strength, beauty, and pride of the community.

20 Year Dialogue

20 Year Dialogue circles around friendship, conversation, and art. Artists Stephanie Lerma, Linda Tratechaud, and Katrina Lasko are anchored in their friendship and art. They have been supportive of each other through critiques, exhibits, and conversations of art and life. The exhibit highlights the different approaches of art making but share a conversation about art and friendship.


The exhibition is free and open to the public. 20 Year Dialogue is on view through May 31. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.

Call for Artists: Miners Memorial Commission Project

The Art in Public Places Program of New Mexico Arts and the Local Selection Committee of New Mexico Institute of Mining & Technology (New Mexico Tech/NMT) in Socorro, NM seek to commission an artist/artist team to create and install a memorial artwork dedicated to miners/history of mining on the NMT campus.


The institute has identified three potential sites for installation, artists will be asked to select the site they are most interested in responding to when submitting their qualifications. This is a request for qualifications only. Do not submit proposals for artwork at this time, please see submission requirements.


The Local Selection Committee will consider the practice of artists/artist teams that range from figurative/representational to non-objective/abstract to architectural in nature. Artwork media/construction can be traditional/mixed/experimental in nature but must be constructed out of materials that will survive a permanent installation outdoors.


This request for qualifications is open to all artists/artist teams currently residing in the United States. Artists submitting qualifications should demonstrate a level of experience and professionalism that is commensurate with the project scope and budget.
