President, Jimmy Farach, presents Don Phillips with the traditional FAPIA Presidents Gavel Award. The Gavel of leadership in our industry has now passed to a new generation of experienced and passionate industry leaders. Jimmy Farach is the first Hispanic President of FAPIA in our 25 year history and we are proud to celebrate the diversity in our industry. Learn more about President, Jimmy Farach and his vision for industry priorities in our upcoming issue of the FAPIA Forum magazine.
I want to thank you for your continued support of FAPIA and for giving me your trust and confidence to help lead our industry as the President of the largest trade association for our industry in the nation. You can all be proud of the work we are doing for you. I want to take a moment to recognize Don Phillips.

Don helped our association move forward with improvements to our regulatory statute and by bringing media attention to much needed managed repair reform. His work with managed repair will carry on into the upcoming Legislative Session. Don Phillips has been the face of our industry over the last 12 months and he made us proud. On behalf of the Board and membership, I thank him for his tireless efforts and dedication. We really appreciate it.

Now it's my turn to pick up the baton and I can tell you that we've hit the ground running. FAPIA will continue to be the Gold Standard for our industry and you can expect a number of improvements to our website, networking and educational events and improved resources and services that we will offer our members in 2018.
We are already hard at work getting ready for the upcoming legislative session which begins in January. FAPIA leadership has been meeting with legislators and key regulators as well as business professionals to help educate them on the issues policyholders face.

Next week you will receive our complete November newsletter including a valuable legislative update, an outline of the changes to our regulatory statute that will go into effect on January 1st and an important survey and data call that we are asking you to participate in. The survey won't take more than a few minutes but the information you share can have an immediate impact.

We will also be announcing the dates for our next three conferences so save the dates in your calendars. You won't want to miss these public adjuster specific events!

We all have so many things to give thanks for. Family, friends, work, health and being able to help others who are having a hard time navigating the insurance claim process. I am proud of the work we do as public adjusters and I'm very proud to be leading our industry into the future and I thank you for the honor and the opportunity.
