Re: Provincial Lockdown Update              

The current Stay-at-Home order will expire on June 2, 2021 and the province of Ontario will move into the new reopening plan which is expected to take effect on, or around June 14, 2021. Further details about the reopening plan can be found here: https://www.ontario.ca/page/reopening-ontario
 
Special Olympics Ontario is currently reviewing the reopening plan and how it will impact our Special Olympics programs. We anticipate there will be minor adjustments to our Return to Program guidelines and the athlete and coach/volunteer registration process. Therefore, all Special Olympics Ontario programs will continue with the following guidelines until further notice:

There are many questions surrounding the vaccine and how this will be managed within sport and more specifically Special Olympics. We are in the process of seeking guidance on this matter and anticipate that it will be an evolving process.
