The Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment (CDPHE) also has a webpage with local statistics and information as well as a social media tookit which is encouraged to be shared with the public.

COVID-19 THERAPEUTICS PROGRAM FOR HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS
In an ongoing effort to decrease hospitalizations for at-risk Coloradans by ensuring access to COVID-19 therapeutics, we are sharing information provided by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) for health care providers. Included here is updated National Institutes of Health (NIH) recommendations, as well as provider eligibility and enrollment information for both the CDPHE Therapeutics program and Health and Human Services (HHS) Test to Treat program, Health care providers are encouraged to learn more about these lifesaving treatments and talk about them with patients who may be eligible to receive them.

FREE COVID-19 SELF TESTS
Residential households in the U.S. are now eligible for another order of free COVID-19 self- tests on USPS.com.
- Each order now includes 8 rapid antigen COVID-19 tests
- Orders will come in 2 separate packages (4 tests in each package), each with its own tracking number and will ship for free
Self- tests for COVID-19 give rapid results and can be taken anywhere, regardless of your vaccination status or whether or not you have symptoms. They give your result in a few minutes and are different from laboratory-based tests that may take days to return your result.

COLORADO COVID-19 HEALTH CARE PROVIDER VACCINE INFORMATION TOOLKIT
In an effort to best organize and make readily available the wide array of health care provider vaccine resources, trainings and materials related to the COVID-19 vaccination program, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) has created the online Colorado COVID-19 Health Care Provider Vaccine Information Toolkit. The toolkit has a variety of robust elements for providers to use.

SEPTEMBER IS SUICIDE PREVENTION MONTH
Suicide is not inevitable for anyone and suicide prevention is everyone's business. By starting the conversation, providing support, and directing help to those who need it, we can prevent suicides and save lives. Evidence shows that providing support services, talking about suicide, reducing access to means of self-harm, and following up with loved ones are just some of the actions we can all take to help others. There are many effective suicide prevention programs now being implemented that bring hope, optimism, and recovery to people struggling with thoughts of suicide and their families. Below are just a select few organizations that provide suicide prevention resources.

REPORTING ADVERSE INCIDENTS
Managing care effectively and assuring the safety of members is a principal philosophy of Beacon Health Options Colorado. Every provider is required to report incidents involving Medicaid members who have either harmed or and occurrence exists with had the potential to harm a member. This includes members receiving services now, and those discharged in the last 90 days. Click here for information on the requirement.

COLORADO'S CANADIAN DRUG IMPORTATION PLAN
The Polis-Primavera administration and the Colorado Department of Health Care Policy & Financing have announced partnerships with key supply chain partners that will help Colorado operationalize the importation of lower cost medications from Canada to save people money, while ensuring the health and safety of Coloradans. Colorado’s Canadian Importation Program, once approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), is poised to save consumers and employers an average of more than 60% on prescription medications. HEALTH FIRST COLORADO DATA ANALYTICS PORTAL (DAP)
For Primary Care Medical Providers (PCMP)-
To support the Accountable Care Collaborative's (ACC's) goal of improving member health and reducing costs, the Colorado Department of Health Care Policy & Financing (HCPF) along with IBM Watson Health have created this data analytics tool for PCMPs and Regional Accountable Entities (RAEs) for population and performance information. NEW EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT UTILIZATION REPORT
The Colorado Department of Health Care Policy & Financing has released its first ever in-depth analysis on emergency department (ED) utilization. Topics include which members use the ED most often and why, the impact COVID-19 has had on the ED, opportunities for improving the health care safety net, and spotlights on behavioral health and housing issues. The Department maintains an internal data dashboard on ED utilization and will continue to monitor trends over time. Check out the report.

PRESCRIBER TOOL PRE-ALTERNATIVE PAYMENT MODEL (APM) PROVIDER TOOLKIT
The Colorado Department of Health Care Policy & Financing has designed this toolkit to help guide practices through steps to participate in the Pre-APM phase of the Prescriber Tool APM. This Tool refers to a collection of capabilities that healthcare providers can access through their Electronic Health Records (EHR) system, including prescription benefit information, electronic prior authorization, and access to an opioid risk module for Health First Colorado members. ONLINE PCP TOOLKIT FOR BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CARE MANAGEMENT
Primary care settings are increasingly the first line of identification for behavioral health (BH) issues. As your patients’ primary medical practitioner, you already know the large number of patients who present with both physical and behavioral health disorders. Beacon Heath Options (Beacon) supports PCPs as the locus of treatment for a wide variety of BH diagnoses. REMINDER TO VERIFY PROVIDER LICENSE STATUS
A Message From The Colorado Department of Health Care Policy & Financing
Providers are reminded to keep licenses up to date. If a provider has recently received a notification about an expired license, the status can be confirmed by logging into the Provider Web Portal to verify the license status and update licenses as applicable.

Login into the Provider Web Portal. Note: Delegates have limited access, check with your administrator if your access allows updating capabilities for licensing.
- Select Provider Maintenance, twice.
- Click on Provider Identification Changes.
- Result: All applicable licenses that are on file and associated with the portal account will display.

TRANSITION FOR ENDING REIMBURSEMENT FOR RESIDENTIAL CHILD CARE FACILITIES
From the Department of Health Care Policy & Financing
The Department outlined the end of reimbursement for residential child care facilities (RCCF) via Policy Transmittal (RAE MCO 22-02) in May 2022. That policy transmittal indicates that the Capitated Behavioral Health Benefit managed by Managed Care Entities (MCEs) will no longer reimburse Residential Child Care Facilities (RCCFs) who are enrolled as Provider Type (PT) 52 effective July 1, 2022. BILLING UNDER A LICENSED BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CLINICIAN
Effective May 1, 2022, language was provided to allow newly licensed behavioral health providers to continue to bill under a supervisor (licensed behavioral health clinician) while pursuing contracting with a Regional Accountable Entity (RAE). This is being expanded to allow newly hired licensed behavioral health providers with a group practice to bill under a supervising behavioral health clinician while the provider is working toward credentialing and contracting with a RAE.
Effective July 1, 2022, this policy understanding will be reflected in the Uniform Service Coding Standards Manual with the following language:
Practitioners who are enrolled with Medicaid and have applied for credentials with a Regional Accountable Entity (RAE) may submit claims under a supervising provider for a maximum of 90 days while completing contracting with a RAE.
This policy applies to:
- Newly licensed BH providers who were providing services to members under clinical supervision while they were working toward licensure.
- Licensed BH providers who are hired by a group practice.

ADULT UROLOGY IN PRIMARY CARE LEARNING CASE CONFERENCE

The Adult Urology in Primary Care ECHO series aim to give primary care physicians and providers the baseline knowledge and skills needed to assess and manage common, non-surgical, urologic conditions in adults. This new ECHO series serves as a virtual space where primary care providers and specialists can collaborate to increase access to care for patients with urologic conditions. ECHO participation will also enable connections between healthcare providers, maximizing patient evaluation and facilitating consultations and co-management among primary care providers and specialists.

ADULT UROLOGY IN PRIMARY CARE OFFICE HOURS

This is a new, monthly, free, drop-in opportunity designed for Colorado-based primary care providers (MD, DO, NP, PA, APP) to discuss urology topics of their choice and receive feedback from a urology specialist. This ongoing series will allow participants to share de-identified cases, including de-identified patient imaging, and ask questions for peer-to-peer and specialist consultation to support one another in patient diagnosis and management.

RHEUMATOLOGY IN PRIMARY CARE

IMPROVING EQUITY IN MENOPAUSE CARE
Hosted by ECHO Colorado
The goal of this series is to improve patient care experiences and access to high-quality healthcare for women from diverse racial and ethnic groups who are experiencing menopause. The seven-session series will provide an evidence-based comprehensive curriculum covering the current state of knowledge on racial and ethnic disparities, opportunities to increase provider self-awareness and confidence and opportunities improve communication with patients. Sessions include short lectures and case-based discussions. Participants will have the opportunity to apply their knowledge actively in immersive experiences with virtual reality avatars.

Colorado Behavioral Healthcare Council (CBHC) is hosting the largest Behavioral Health Conference in the state of Colorado. Each year, hundreds of behavioral health specialists, members of the state and criminal justice system, physical health providers, and university students attend CHBC’s annual behavioral health conference. BIPOC PARENT VIRTUAL LISTENING SESSIONS
This fall members of the Exceptional Student Services Unit from the Colorado Department of Education are hosting BIPOC Parent Listening Sessions. The priority is to attend to the perspectives of representative voices when making decisions about policy, training and supports designed for students with exceptionalities. The desired outcome for these four fall listening sessions is to learn from parents about ways to better serve and support BIPOC students with exceptionalities. Below are English and Spanish flyers announcing the sessions which start September 10th.
