Our community partners, Beech Acres Parenting Center, is currently offering support opportunities with The Character Effect ™. The Character Effect ™, is an evidenced based,social & emotional learning program that improves the well being of teachers and students alike. Their upcoming support opportunties include individual coaching, Q & A meetings and specialist led model lessons at your center.

Additionally, they will be offering a virtual professional development session in May titled, “Recharge and Regain Calm.” During this session, they will focus on understanding the impact of stress and secondary trauma, learn how our mindset can reduce the impact of stress, and explore strategies for increasing life satisfaction. Understanding our Community: Using Census data to inform community change

United Way, in collaboration with research partners who wrote the Social Areas of Cincinnati Report, is excited to share how a recent analysis of Census data can provide the socioeconomic context most non-profit organizations need. A new report analyzes multiple socioeconomic indicators found in the Census – such as family income, education, occupation and family structure – to provide greater understanding of social factors affecting families in Cincinnati.

This webinar will share the report and explain how the use of a socioeconomic status index led to key insights about communities. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore how this analysis and methodology can help inform their own work.
