Students should report to the New Albany High School Main Gym at 5:00 p.m., entering through the Cafeteria (door #7) or the gym door on the corner of Vincennes St. and McCaffry Dr. (door #9). These doors will open at 5:30 p.m. for guardians and guests. Students should wear business casual attire and their high school gowns (no caps) along with honor cords approved by their home school. Examples: dress pants or slacks, button-down shirts, skirts, or dresses.

Rocket Man

Ryan Harper, a 2004 Prosser Precision Machine Alumni, instructed by Frank McPhillips, moved from Southern Indiana to Cape Canaveral, Florida, in March of 2022 and now runs the tooling machine shop for Blue Origin. As stated on their website, Blue Origin was founded with a vision of millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. He can be found building New Glenn, the companies first orbital rocket. Ryan recently spread Prosser Pride when he hired fellow 2010-2012 Prosser Alumni Keegan Leuthart to join his team! When we asked what Ryan would say to students who are debating applying to Prosser, he shared, "there are unlimited possibilities when you have a solid foundation in the trades. Thank you, Prosser Career Education Center, for helping me jump start my career in the field of machine tool." Pictured right to left: Keegan and Ryan

Prosser will be offering three free summer camps for students in 6 - 8th grade during the month of July. View the camp offerings by clicking here. Please note space is limited and transportation is not provided.

Construction Zone

The Early Childhood Education Center construction is coming to an end. The newly created space includes a classroom, two preschool programs, a nursing station/health office and a playground. The new addition will be ready for the incoming student class in fall of 2024. Dr. Kyle Lanoue shared that “It’s really important to point out that our Prosser students will be there for observation purposes and, of course, [provide] a second set of helping hands, but there would always be a New Albany-Floyd County employee, both classroom teachers and also instructional aide support staff that will be maintaining, running the facility and so on.” Nancy Campbell stated that this new Center eliminates the barriers that cause students to fall short from earning the mandated 480 hours of work experience in the childcare/preschool setting required by to earn the Child Development Associates credential.

VIP Building Visits

We want to thank all of our sending school Superintendent-s, Principals, and counselors for taking time to visit Prosser over the month of April. During each visit Principal, Nancy Campbell and CTE Director, Dr. Kyle Lanoue were able to provide funding and programmatic updates and answer questions about the upcoming school year!
