Welcome from the Director of Enrollment

Welcome to the beginning of the new academic school year. And for Saint Joseph High School, we are ushering in a new era as the Saint Joseph High School Huskies!

This new beginning brings a sense of hope, joy and anticipation for a terrific year ahead. Guided by our mission to transform our students in heart and mind, the Saint Joseph High School community is committed to academic excellence, faith formation and personal development of our students.

We as Catholic educators are prepared to guide, inspire and nurture each student to develop into compassionate, responsible and thoughtful young adults, who discover their unique gifts and talents. We will challenge our students to reach their full potential during their time here.

Through this monthly newsletter, I hope to share relevant and important information for you to discern your choice for the next step in your son or daughter's educational journey.

Peace,

Sue Ushela

Placement testing is a diocesan requirement and a part of the admissions process. All 8th grade students considering Saint Joseph High School are required to take the HSPT. The HSPT is a series of timed tests of verbal skills, quantitative skills, reading, mathematics and language skills. Additionally, we include an essay. HSPT test scores, along with recommendations from your child's current teachers, principal and/or counselor, help to place students in appropriate freshman classes. This is the first of two dates offered for the HSPT. To RSVP, please complete the form here.

Do you want to practice for the HSPT? Here is a link to a practice test. This test is not affiliated with Saint Joe High School nor HSPT, but an aid to review and prepare to come take the test.

Saturday, Dec. 7: High School Placement Testing Alternate Date

Students who cannot make the first placement test on November 16 may sign up to take the test on December 7.
