Park on Park

MAY - SEPTEMBER 2ND WEDNESDAY 4:00PM-8:00PM

One of the best collections of Pre-1977 Classic Cars in Northern Illinois.

Since 2000, Park on Park has been a staple of Mundelein fun. The cruise night specializes in pre-1977 vehicles only. By limiting attendants to classic cars, the event draws some of the finest vehicles in the area. The quality of the vehicles consistently amazes me. They offer an organized event that has something for owners and spectators alike.

The origins of Park-on-Park Cruise Night started as “idle conversation” among members of On the Road Classics a Mundelein car club formed in June of 1999. Club members wanted to host a local car night event, but with only ten members at the time, resources were limited. The club approached Mundelein MainStreet, the non-profit downtown promotional arm of the Village, to assess the interest in partnering with the club on holding a summertime car event in downtown. The idea was simple: combine the resources of MainStreet and the Village, with the club’s knowledge of car events to bring visitors to downtown to enjoy classic cars.

Shred Event at Fremont Township

We have scheduled a document shredding event for Saturday, June 22 from 8:30 am til 11:30 am. You will enter through the highway department at 22376 Erhart Road.

You may bring the equivalent of 3 boxes to shred. Staples and paper clips are fine. We will not accept any binders or hanging file folders or electronic items because they catch on fire in the truck.

The most efficient way is to place your items in a paper grocery bag. No plastic bags. To keep the line moving, you will not be able to exit your car and watch the shredding.

This shredding event is for documents only. Please recycle your coupons, magazines and junk mail with your weekly recycling. They will not be accepted.

Pop your trunk and we will take the items. Do not leave your car.

We will not accept any binders or hanging file folders or electronic items because they catch on fire in the truck. If the truck fills up before 11:30, the event will be over.

We look forward to seeing you and appreciate your patience.

Recycle Bedding, Shoes, Flags and Eyeglasses in our Shed

Recycle bedding and items for the dogs, (leashes, collars, toys, pet food etc.), shoes, yarn, American flags, eyeglasses and hearing aids in the shed in our front parking lot.

We still have our textile bin next to the shed.

What can I put in the textile bin?

Ride Lake County  Pace Bus Service

Ride Lake County is a borderless countywide paratransit service that provides seniors age 60+ and people with disabilities transportation to any area of Lake County for work, shopping, medical appointments and more.

As a reservation-based program, vehicles do not travel on a fixed route each day. Riders schedule their trips in advance and the vehicles provide curb-to-curb service from the rider's desired pick-up and drop-off destinations. Ride Lake County is a shared-ride service, so vehicles may make stops for other passengers.
