Pronto participated in Brentwood's Memorial Day Parade yesterday to remember our fallen heroes.

And special thanks to our present-day heroes... the staff of Mondays at Racine who offered a complimentary day of health and wellness to those with cancer on May 19th. Pronto was transformed into a spa with Mondays offering facials, makeovers, manicures and massages. As always, it was a day of beauty for all of us to witness as both our staff and participants came away feeling uplifted.

Pronto's Job Fair was held on May 21st from 1 to 3pm and was a great success thanks to Pronto's organizer Claire (far right). She explained that we had 143 participants and 9 companies reported that they were able to attract a very good list of potential employees. Claire says that both she and the companies are excited to continue to partner on upcoming job fairs!

Special thanks to all of our authors who are hosting Pronto's writing workshops for our students in grades 5 through 8. These workshops were made possible by the Huntington Arts Council and the Suffolk County Omnibus grant. Pronto's own Ginger describes the workshops' success as inspiring children's creativity by tapping into their real-life experiences.

Food Drives

Pronto is looking for volunteers for Food Drives on June 1st. If you are interested in supporting Pronto in this way, please contact Mike McElroy at 631-231-8290. And thank you to the Academy of Civic Life in Stony Brook for hosting a Food Drive for Pronto!

Pronto is hard at work updating our Community Garden thanks to funding from National Grid's Project C Youth Spaces Competition. Pronto received the $25,000 grant thanks to the public voting we received.
