May 2023

Dear NEHEP Partners,

It’s one of the most exciting times of the year for NEI — Healthy Vision Month! For 2023, we’re building on last year’s theme, A Family Focus. That’s why we’re highlighting our suite of Spanish resources and partners’ Spanish-language offerings to support Spanish-speaking Hispanic/Latino families in protecting their vision.

To ensure our Healthy Vision Month campaign resonates with Hispanic/Latino people, we used a Spanish-first approach when creating materials and then transcreated them in English. We hope you’ll find our new materials useful, along with the other resources in this newsletter, to help make sure everyone gets important eye health information — no matter the language.

Thank you for participating in this year’s Healthy Vision Month by sharing resources with your networks. Together, we can share our knowledge to make a difference!

Best,

Devina Kuo Fan, M.P.H.
