Beloved friends,
What an amazing week we have ahead of us! This Sunday, we'll speak of promises -- those we keep and those we do not.
How important is a promise? For our fallen soldiers, they promised to make the ultimate sacrifice if they were called upon to do so. Let us make time to honor them.
On Monday at 10 am, the Drepung Gomang Monks will open sacred space for the building of the World Interfaith Peace Mandala. Made completely of sand, every grain that falls represents the tears of the world, its compassionate healing, and so much more.
The energy of peace will emanate from our sanctuary throughout the week. Bring yourself into the intention by being present on Monday when the prayer begins.
Throughout the week, we will make Mani Stones, share a momo dinner, do yoga, and observe the mandala process. On Saturday, at 11 am, the mandala will be dissolved and we will caravan to running water where it will be released. Then, at 1:30 on Saturday afternoon (June 1st), we'll return for one last celebration -- a cultural pageant with costumes, music, dances, beauty, and laughter!
The entire schedule will be sent out to you in a separate email and we'll also send daily reminders of each day's schedule. Its going to be spectacular!
If you'd be willing to volunteer to assist for a few hours, please reach out and give your name to Yo'Lauder. Volunteers will keep tea warm for the monks, hold sacred space in the sanctuary, and welcome those who attend.
Please help us to spread the beauty of this week long activity by telling your friends about it.
I'm looking forward to seeing you Sunday and throughout the week!
Big Love,
Rev. Ahriana
