PROJECT WEEK OVERVIEW

January 8-12, 2024

During Project Week, which takes place during the week of Evaluation Conferences, students will concentrate on one area of study. This will be an opportunity to learn new things, exhibit creativity, and have an enjoyable learning experience outside the typical classroom environment.

PROJECTS BY GRADE

6TH GRADE

Students research a country and share their findings through maps and posters.

7TH GRADE

Students research an animal, space, or earth science topic. They construct a model or diorama as well.

8TH GRADE

Students create a poster and/or a three-dimensional representation of something from the medieval world. In addition, they read a history book and answer questions on their research topic.

9TH & 11TH GRADE

Students select topics from various time periods and write research papers.

10TH GRADE

Students work in the chemistry lab at school and write complete lab reports.

12TH GRADE

After researching bridge design, students design, construct, and destructively test a pair of balsa wood truss bridges.
