Project Newsletter

To assist in answering resident questions, the City of Cedar Rapids has created a periodic e-newsletter, and a page on the City's website, where residents can access public documents, timelines, and frequently asked questions regarding the skatepark relocation at Riverside Park. You are receiving this email because of your interest in the project.

Skatepark Update | January 12, 2023

Temporary Park Location and Equipment

The overwhelming preference indicated in our recent survey was to place the temporary skatepark at Time Check Park. Equipment has arrived and we are in the process of putting it together. The manufacturer states that the equipment should not be used in temperatures under 32 degrees. Because the equipment takes time to set up and tear down, and low temperatures consistently fall under 32 degrees, we plan to set it up closer to spring.
