Integrating Bikes & Pedestrians

at San Rafael's New Transit Center


Following advocacy by Sustainable San Rafael and others at its June 26 public workshop, the Golden Gate Bridge and Transportation District is now looking at moving the greenway shown above from the west side to the east side of Tamalpais Avenue.


The move would greatly reduce potential conflicts between bikes and pedestrians in front of the reconstructed depot building, while also providing a more direct route for cyclists along Tamalpais.
