It’s Progress Check week! Students, this week your faculty will be completing a Progress Check for students enrolled in full-term courses. Progress Check used to be called Early Alert, and we encourage you to visit this website to learn more about the intent and value of Progress Check period.

The Progress Check will be completed in our new software system, Starfish. Students can read more about Starfish and log in from this webpage or from right inside your Canvas course. Once in Starfish, you will see kudos (messages that you are doing well) and flags (messages sharing an instructor’s concern about your course progress). We encourage you to follow-up with your instruction regarding any flags you might see. Faculty can complete the Progress Check through Monday, March 4th, so if you don’t see any kudos or flags today, be sure to check back.

You may also see referrals that your instructor has made to counselor or tutoring because they believe those services may be able to offer support to facilitate you successful journey here at Mission College. If you receive a referral, you will also receive an email, and should expect to be contacted by a member of the counseling or tutoring teams in the coming days.
