Seed Grant

The North American Saxophone Alliance’s Professional Development & Engagement Committee invites applications for Seed Grant support for projects that advance the saxophone and/or promote the instrument in the wider world that will occur between September 1, 2024 through August 31, 2025. We welcome and encourage projects that involve all musical styles (including interdisciplinary work) and include people of underrepresented identities.

Seed Grant awards provide up to a $300 stipend. Grants may be used at the discretion of successful applicants to cover such expenses as travel, printing, operational costs, or, in the case of collaborative projects, small honoraria.

Eligibility

Any individual applying for a NASA Seed Grant must be a member of the North American Saxophone Alliance. The project must have demonstrable value to individuals or groups beyond the applicant. Preferably, the project will have value to a wide body of saxophonists or will promote the saxophone within communities.
