The Sacrament of Initiation
St. Anthony of Padua Church, Fresno
The Easter season at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Fresno has been fruitful.
Congratulations to the 26 parishioners and children who received the one or more Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation and First Holy Communion)!
"I started attending St Anthony's several years ago when I moved to Fresno. I attended Catholic elementary school and the Catholic church in my hometown growing up. However, I was never baptized. I became spiritually aware of a deep awareness to fully commit my life to God. Of all my choices I made in my life, being baptized has been my greatest one of all" - shared by one of our new Catholic, Denise Lyons-Romero.

Caring for the Whole Person Initiative
A New Ministry
The St. Paul Catholic Newman Center in Fresno held a Ministry Fair on Sunday, April 28th. The parishioners enjoyed the opportunity to learn about the offered ministries and sign up to the ones that appealed to their interest!
One table was devoted to the Caring for the Whole Person Initiative, a new ministry. We were excited about the interest showed and the pertinent questions posed.
It was apparent that this initiative, brought about by the Catholic Bishops and Catholic Health Care Systems of California, is important to our church community. We appreciate those that signed up to help us promote this ministry in our future endeavors.
