Marriage: The Multiplication of Love

Radiate Love Initiative

On Sunday, July 28th, we celebrated National Parents' Day as part of the California Catholic Conference's Radiate Love Initiative.

Earlier this year, Bishop Brennan shared the special and heartfelt story of his parents’ love and marriage. Rodger and Helen Brennan spent 40 years of marriage together and had 10 children. Listen to Mr. and Mrs. Brennan’s story by clicking here.

Annual Diocesan Seminarian Retreat

Our Seminarians attended their Annual Diocesan Retreat at the St. Anthony Retreat Center in Three Rivers last week. Fr. Dan Avila, former Diocesan Vocations Director, was the retreat master. Fr. Ivan Hernandez-Melchor, Director of Diocesan Vocations, also led the men through their week long retreat.

What a blessing it is to see our seminarians together!

National Eucharistic Revival

The Diocese of Fresno at the National Eucharistic Congress

July 17-21, 2024

A few of our parishes had the incredible opportunity to attend the National Eucharistic Congress that took place in Indianapolis, Indiana from July 17th to the 21st. It was the first National Eucharistic Congress in 83 years! Check out a few photos from the congress and hear from our parishes about their experience.

Fr. Mark Maxon, Pastor of Holy Family Catholic Church in Kingsburg, led a group of parishioners to the National Eucharistic Revival Congress!

After the Congress, they came home ready for the next steps in spreading the gospel related to the Eucharist. What a rewarding experience!

St. Mary's Church, Sanger

Elisa Perez from St. Mary's Church in Sanger attended the National Eucharistic Congress with her daughter, Katerina Rodriguez and son, Alexander Rodriguez.

Katerina and Alexander were chosen to do a prayer intention for the Family Rosary Across America with Relevant Radio.

"It was a beautiful experience! My favorite part was Adoration and Mass with 50,000 Catholics in Lucas Stadium. You could feel the presence of Jesus all around and the love He has for all His people," Elisa Perez shared.

Our Lady of the Sierra Parish, Oakhurst

By the grace of God, I had the privilege of representing Our Lady of the Sierra Parish in Oakhurst as a “point person” in the 10th National Eucharistic Congress in Indianapolis.

The opening ceremony featured the culmination of the “four corners” pilgrimage that crisscrossed the United States in the form of a cross, meeting at the beautiful Eucharistic altar set up in the Lucas Oil Stadium. When a beautiful golden monstrance was displayed, a holy and reverent silence fell upon the crowd. You could have heard a pin drop. In awe, we all dropped down to our knees in our first Adoration experience at the Congress.
