The Rededication of St. Ann's
Blessed Sacrament Chapel
St. Ann Catholic Church, Ridgecrest
St. Ann's Church in Ridgecrest recently completed a renovation of their Blessed Sacrament Chapel! Fr. Santiago did a blessing during the rededication ceremony on April 8th.
The chapel had 24 years of Perpetual Adoration and was available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day until Covid hit. In addition to this, the military chapel congregation of Our Lady of the Desert had been displaced due to an earthquake. In 2022, St. Ann Church and Our Lady of the Desert combined into one at St. Ann's and regular adoration of Jesus in the chapel began again.
In honor of the Eucharistic Revival and symbolizing the unification of the two congregations, the Knights of Columbus Father John Crowley Council 3199 provided funding and support for the rejuvenation of the chapel.
The chapel remodel incorporates items from the destroyed military chapel to unify the catholic communities. In addition, the crucifix, statues and tabernacle table were donated by the Archdiocese for the Military Services.
This effort was funded by the local Knights of Columbus Council, the Parish Decorating chair, Paula Welsh, and the Adoration Chair, Katie Nazeck, who planned, coordinated and ensured completion of the project.
