Bishop Brennan to Ordain Deacon Bill Lucido a Priest of the Diocese of Fresno

With praise and thanksgiving to Almighty God the Diocese of Fresno joyfully announces the ordination of Deacon Bill Lucido to the Sacred Order of Presbyter through the imposition of hands and the invocation of the Holy Spirit by The Most Reverend Joseph V. Brennan, D.D. Bishop, Diocese of Fresno.

The Ordination will take place on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Spirit Church in Fresno.

Concelebrants please bring alb and white stole. All Clergy are invited to vest.

All are invited to attend the Ordination in person or view the livestream which will be provided at dioceseoffresno.org.

Annual "Come & See" Discernment Retreat

The Diocese of Fresno's Office of Vocations is hosting the annual "Come & See" Discernment Retreat on Friday, July 26th through Sunday, July 28th at the St. Anthony Retreat Center in Three Rivers! We invite any single man between the ages of 17-45 to join us at our Discernment Retreat at no cost.

Fr. John Bruno Celebrates 50th Anniversary

St. Mary's Parish in Sanger Hosts Celebration

On June 28th, the Parish of St. Mary's in Sanger celebrated the 50th Anniversary of Fr. John Bruno. A special Mass was followed by a reception where Bishop Brennan joined the Mariachis as everyone celebrated Fr. Bruno's milestone.

Congratulations to Fr. Bruno and thank you for your many years of dedication and service.

Catholic Community of Orange Cove Braves Wild Land Fire

Diocesan Church and Mission Survive Close Call

Many of you heard about the wild land fire that devastated the community of Yokuts Valley. With thanksgiving, we are happy to announce that St. Isidore the Farmer Parish in Orange Cove and it's Mission Church, St. Rita's were not harmed during the fire. Please keep all those affected by the wild land fire in your prayers.
