Honoring All Who Served

by Dave Rauch

Memorial Day is more than just a long weekend; it's a day dedicated to honoring the brave men and women who sacrificed their lives for our country. As we enjoy our daily freedoms and opportunities, let us take a moment to remember and honor those who made these possible through their courage and sacrifice. Additionally, please note that not this coming Monday, but the following Monday, May 27th, is Memorial Day. It is an unpaid holiday for hourly employees and a paid holiday for salaried employees.

Uncovering ProTec's Identity: Core Values

by Aspiring Andy

I'm back with the last core value. We already touched on our first 2, ALL IN and LEARN & GROW. This week we're going to cover OWN IT:

  • WHAT IT MEANS: We take responsibility for our actions; admit when we're wrong; we ask for help.
  • HOW WE EXPRESS IT: We act with humility and honesty.
  • WHAT IS THE OUTCOME: Empowered team members who trust each other and learn from each other's mistakes.

Being able to own your mistakes is not only a good practice professionally, but also a great quality to possess in your personal life as well.

Critical Number Update

by Caleb Henry

Feedback is coming in gradually, but we need to accelerate our efforts to reach our goal. We have officially passed the halfway point of the quarter, but we still haven't hit 100 client feedback submissions. Please remember to use the Client Feedback app on your phones or click the button below to submit any feedback you receive from our clients, whether positive or negative. We've got 5 weeks left to smash this goal!

Have a Complaint?

by Dave Rauch

As ProTecians, we acknowledge that we're not perfect. We make mistakes and we "Own It". However, it's important to remember the principle of "gripes go up, not down." In simpler terms, if you have a concern, address it directly with Just Tell ProTec or your supervisor rather than venting to your colleagues. Why? Because complaining to those around you or below you achieves only two outcomes:

  1. It undermines leadership efforts. Effective leadership relies on securing support from colleagues, and constant complaining about company issues or difficult clients damages your reputation as a leader who handles challenges adeptly.
  2. It fosters gossip. Authenticity is a cornerstone of effective leadership, and it can be demonstrated in any situation, including conflict resolution.

When faced with interpersonal challenges, address them directly and tactfully instead of resorting to gossip behind closed doors. Raise concerns with someone who has the authority to resolve them. By setting this precedent, you encourage your peers to do the same.
