Dear Saints Peter and Paul Parents,
I am very pleased to announce that the Saints Peter and Paul School Early Childhood Center program is fully licensed by the state of Pennsylvania’s Department of Human Services. The preschool teachers, aides, substitutes, Teacher Director (Ms. Peacock), and Director (Mrs. Chandler) have been committed for the last year to achieving this goal. We are thrilled to provide a high-quality education to our Pre K 3 and Pre K 4 programs. We understand an early childhood program with a strong foundation socially, academically, spiritually, and emotionally, leads to your child’s success in school for years to come.
To determine the level of quality in our program, the Early Learning Childhood Center will now participate in annual in-person state assessments. These valuable assessments will help determine the level of quality we offer to our preschoolers. The staff will also adhere to the state-mandated safety standards and training requirements.
Keystone STARS is Pennsylvania’s Quality Rating and Improvement System for our Early Childhood Center. It is a continuous quality improvement approach to assess, improve, and communicate the level of quality. Keystone STARS is a program under Pennsylvania’s Office of Child Development and Early Learning (OCDEL).
Each year the faculty assigns students to their homerooms for the Fall. A great deal of time and consideration is placed into this process. We kindly ask parents to trust this process and know that teachers consider many areas (friends, academic ability, learning differences, learning style, boys vs girls, etc) when creating the promotion lists. Our goal is to set each child up for success!
If we accept one parent's request for a homeroom, we must accept all. Accepting parent homeroom requests can result in a very challenging and monumental task for the school. It can lead to homerooms not being distributed equally by ability levels, girls vs boys, or the number of overall students. Please understand that the school cannot accept homeroom requests from parents for these reasons. We thank you as always for your support!
Enjoy the weekend with your family!
Sincere regards,
Veronica Chandler
