Schenectady, NY – The Museum of Innovation and Science (miSci) will present its annual Model Train Show beginning Friday, November 27, 2020. The 19 x 27-foot model train display includes scenes that depict how trains transformed transportation and impacted the growth of the country. It features five concurrently running tracks weaving through amusement parks, a vintage Plasticville town, and freight yards. Passengers, freight, and more travel the main loop as vintage equipment loads logs and more onto the short line.
This year's presentation also includes a display of vintage transportation toys, including Lionel trains from the 1930s through the 1950s, antique models of old ALCO steam locomotives, model boats including a 19th century model of a Hudson River steamboat, and a 1920s model of the USS Constitution built from wood removed from the Constitution’s hull during a 1927 restoration.
Admission to the Model Train Show is included in the price of general admission. Tickets may be purchased by visiting https://bit.ly/3f5XynG
