Early In-Person Voting Sites Available For Registered Voters

Kimberly A. Hinkley, the Calhoun County Clerk and Register of Deeds, announces the Early In-Person Voting Sites in Calhoun County.

Due to the passage of Proposition 22-2, Early In-Person Voting is a opportunity to vote in Michigan before election day. Sites are open nine consecutive days, from the second Saturday before Election Day and ending the Sunday before Election Day, for all state and federal elections in Michigan. For the upcoming Primary Election to be held on Tuesday, August 6, Early In-Person Voting will be available July 27 - August 4.

This provides an opportunity to vote in-person before Election Day. Individuals with absentee ballots can now cast their own ballot into the tabulator at their Early In-Person Voting Site. Voting on Election Day still occurs at the municipality’s regular polling location and not at the Early In-Person Voting Site.

There are two Early In-Person Voting Sites in Calhoun County, and registered voters should go to the site that correlates with where they are registered to vote. Registered voters from the following municipalities will vote at the Marshall County Building located at 315 W Green St.: City of Albion, City of Marshall, Albion Township, Athens Township, Burlington Township, Clarence Township, Clarendon Township, Convis Township, Eckford Township, Emmett Charter Township, Fredonia Township, Homer Township, Lee Township, Leroy Township, Marengo Township, Marshall Township, Newton Township, Sheridan Township, and Tekonsha Township. This site is open from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. each day.

Voters from the City of Battle Creek, City of Springfield, Bedford Charter Township, and Pennfield Charter Township can vote early at the Kool Family Center at 200 W Michigan Ave. in Battle Creek. This Early In-Person Voting Site is open from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

Individuals must be registered to vote prior to going to an Early In-Person Voting Site. Anyone not registered can register online at the State’s Secretary of State website or at their local City or Township Clerk. Visit the Early In-Person Voting website, calhouncountymi.gov/voteearly for more information.
