Celtic Celebration Brings Music, Dance and More to Old Sturbridge Village

Sturbridge, M.A. – Beginning Saturday, March 16 and continuing on Sunday, March 17 visitors to Old Sturbridge Village can experience Celtic Celebration with themed activities, Irish dance performances, live music, as well as demonstrations and stories. During Celtic Celebration visitors can see traditional Irish dance performances in the morning. In the afternoon, guests can listen to special performances including Scottish bagpipes in addition to Irish poetry. Visitors can also see sewing demonstrations and learn about the first all-Irish militia company in the Massachusetts Militia, the Montgomery Guards. A special musical performance on Sunday features Celtic harpist Cate Mahoney.


Old Sturbridge Village invites families and friends to step back in time and celebrate the changing seasons and cultural heritage during Celtic Celebration with Kids Free Standard Daytime Admission. During this limited springtime offer, up to two children, aged 17 years or younger, will be admitted for free with each adult full price standard daytime admission ticket. Visitors are encouraged to purchase tickets online in advance to save even more! In addition to Kids Free March and April, tickets purchased online include a $3.00 savings compared to tickets purchased at the door.
