CFVI Awards Grants to 22 USVI Nonprofits and Programs

with $1,030,719 Donation from Heavy Materials

U.S. Virgin Islands, March 4, 2024  The Community Foundation of the Virgin Islands (CFVI) announced grants have been awarded to 22 USVI nonprofit organizations and programs thanks to a generous donation of $1,030,719 from Heavy Materials.


The following organizations received funding:



"We appreciate the vision and generosity of Heavy Materials for their incredible support for the work of our USVI nonprofit community," said CFVI President Dee Baecher-Brown. "The positive and enduring impact of the company's donation will contribute to the success and sustainability of the supported nonprofits on so many different levels. This giving by Heavy Materials is a model that the Foundation would love to explore with other corporate partners in the Virgin Islands."


Heavy Materials' General Administration Manager, Yvette Williams, shared that the company takes great pride in being a good neighbor. "We are so thankful to be able to provide the resources, materials and service that support the Virgin Islands," she said.
