Double Your Support of Students on Giving Tuesday
On Nov. 29, the Fullerton College Foundation is rallying efforts to raise money for student scholarships by creating ways people may double their donations on Giving Tuesday. Since its founding in 2012, Giving Tuesday has inspired giving around the world, resulting in greater donations, volunteer hours and activities that bring about real change in communities. Donate to Women in Need
The Fullerton College Psychology Club is hosting a clothing drive for the Women's Transitional Living Center. The center provides housing, counseling, and crisis hotlines for victims of domestic abuse and exploitation. The center is in need of new baby clothes, new children's undergarments and new slippers. There are donation boxes in the library at the circulation desk and in Room 1415. For more information, contact Marissa Davisson at psychclubfc@gmail.com or view the flyer online.

President Open Forum: Nov. 21 
In an effort to encourage ongoing communication and teamwork across campus, President Greg Schulz has scheduled a series of Open Forums. Thanksgiving Holiday, Campus Closed
Fullerton College will be closed from Thursday, Nov. 24 to Sunday, Nov. 27 for the Thanksgiving Day holiday.

Nearly 7,000 flags were meticulously placed throughout the quad for Veterans Appreciation Week in honor of the women and men who have died serving our country since 9/11. Enjoy our   video showing this impressive display. Additionally, more than 1,000 people attended Fullerton College's annual Dia de los Muertos on Oct. 27. College Highlighted at Board Meeting 
On Tuesday, Nov. 22, Dr. Greg Schulz will present the college's Annual Report and Institutional Effectiveness Report to the Board of Trustees. He invites the campus community to attend as he shares highlights of the college that are the results of your efforts. The meeting begins at 5:30 p.m.

Resume and Cover Letter Workshop
Learn how to persuade an employer by targeting a resume and cover letter to a particular job. Learn how to describe skills, knowledge and abilities that will benefit the company and meet company's needs at this workshop on Monday, Nov. 21 at 5:30 p.m. Please RSVP by calling 714-992-7121 or coming into the Career and Life Planning Center in the 2000 Building, Second Floor. Expanding Your Essay: The Magic of Details
This workshop will help students develop ideas and engage an audience through an essay. This workshop is suitable for students in all levels in English and ESL 184 F, 185 F, 186 F and 190 F and will be on Monday, Nov. 21 at noon in Room 229.

Reflection Essays
This workshop on Tuesday, Nov. 22 at 3 p.m. in the Skills Center South Lab will help students effectively develop and structure an essay that documents, discusses, and analyzes significant class experiences during the fall semester. Suitable for students in ENGL 099 F and ESL 190 F.

The UC Application Deadline is Soon!
Join the Transfer Center for their UC Application workshop on Monday, Nov. 21 at noon. This workshop covers the most frequently asked questions about the UC application such as reporting courses, ranking San Diego's six colleges, applying for EOP and the application fee waiver. In addition, the center provides detailed assistance with the UC personal statements. Students will need to RSVP for all workshops that the Transfer Center hosts by calling 714-992-7086 or by visiting Room 212.

Apply Now to a California State University 
This workshop on Tuesday, Nov. 22 at 2 p.m., guides students through the most difficult parts of the CSU application such as calculating transferable: units, grade points, and GPA. In addition, the Transfer Center will answer the most common questions related to the Associate Degree for Transfer, applying to EOP, and the application fee waiver.  Students will need to RSVP for all workshops that the Transfer Center hosts by calling 714-992-7086 or by visiting Room 212.

Transitional Realities
Transitional Realities  Oct. 27-Nov. 30
"Transitional Realities" refers to the changes in time, space, and emotions of a person, and how they allow these changes to shape and affect them. The five artists participating in this exhibition bring forth non-objective representations of their own external and internal realities. 

Symphony  Nov. 21
Directed by Zun-Hin Woo, the Fullerton College Symphony will present an evening of music from a variety of genres ranging from classical to pop. The performance is in the Campus Theatre at 7:30 p.m.

Synergy Vocal Jazz and Lab Band   Nov. 22
The Fullerton College Synergy Vocal Jazz and Jazz Lab Band Ensembles present a wonderful evening of jazz. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Campus Theatre.

Athletics at Fullerton College

Football
The #1 Fullerton College football team hosted #4 Ventura College in the National Bowl on Saturday afternoon holding off the Pirates 48-42. The victory advances the Hornets to the Southern California Football Association Championship where they will host #2 Riverside City College. Up Next: The SCFA Championship game will be played at Yorba Linda High's Nathan Shapell Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 26 with #1 Fullerton hosting #2 Riverside City College. Game time will be determined soon.

Men's Soccer
The Hornets ended their exciting season under first-year head coach Greg Aviles on Saturday with a 3-2 loss to Santa Ana College in the first round of the Southern California Regionals. It was a very successful 2016 season that produced a team that ranked in the top 20, a playoff berth, four All-Conference players, one SoCal Regional player, and one All-State player. Under new head coach Greg Aviles this Hornet soccer program has a very bright future.

Women's Basketball
Fullerton won the consolation championship at the Palomar College Tournament this past weekend. FC opened the tourney with a harsh 70-53 loss to Santa Monica College on Friday. After that, the Hornets picked themselves back up winning their next two games. On Saturday, Fullerton had a shootout Reedley College beating the Tigers 79-74. On Sunday, FC knocked off Grossmont College 69-57 taking the consolation title. Up Next:
Fullerton (3-3 overall) will host El Camino College on Wednesday, Nov. 30 at 5 p.m.

In Other News
The Physical Education and Athletic Department put on the 7th annual Harvest Dinner last Monday. The faculty and staff hosted more than 250 student-athletes representing all 21 sports teams. Taking place in the College Center, a variety of dishes were brought by the faculty and staff, and it was all gobbled up within two hours. It was a great way to give thanks to hardworking student-athletes as the fall semester begins to wind down
