Dear Families,
Happy Easter!
Today, we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus. He says, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in Me, though they may die, shall live” (John 11:25). For many, Easter marks the conclusion of the Lenten season of fasting and penitence. On this day of joy and renewal, we are reminded of the profound significance of Jesus' sacrifice and triumph over death. As we gather with loved ones and reflect on the blessings of forgiveness and redemption, let us carry the spirit of Easter throughout the year, spreading love, compassion, and hope.
This week, over ninety Easter Baskets were collected and distributed to several Catholic parishes in East Boston and Revere, and over 35 senior members of the Brother Gilbert Chapter of the National Honor Society assembled Easter Baskets for distribution through Bread of Life. A special thank you goes out to the MC community for your generous contributions and support in making this year’s Easter Basket Drive a success.
As we move forward with all the excitement that Spring has to offer, it is hard to believe we have entered the last quarter of the 2023 - 2024 school year. As we begin to prepare for a busy schedule of events over the next few weeks, I would like to highlight some key dates:
- April 5 – Third Quarter Ends (Seniors)
- April 8 to April 11 – Senior Finals
- April 15 to April 19 – Spring Recess
- April 22 – Senior Christian Service Begins
- April 23 – Grade 11 SAT’s
- April 27 – Senior Baskets Delivery
- May 6 to May 17 – AP Exams
- May 11 – Senior Prom
- May 13 to May 18 – Senior Week
- May 31 – Last Day of Classes
On behalf of Malden Catholic, may you and your family enjoy time spent together in the light of
the profound blessings brought forth by this special day.
Sincerely,
Jeffrey P. Smith '95, P'24 ‘26
