Last Thursday we had our B2B Happy Hour at Serenity Funeral Home. Thank you to Carrie Orozco and the whole Serenity team for hosting! The Life Celebration Hall, at their location on 13401 Indian Rocks Road, is an amazing space for any Celebration of Life. ****Throughout our community and within the organization are many individuals worthy of acclaim. To spotlight their contributions in helping to make our community a better place to live and work, the Chamber each year presents its “Citizen of the Year” and “Mac Norcross Small Businessperson of the Year” awards.
****These distinguished honors will be presented at our 69th Annual Meeting & Awards Breakfast on Tuesday, Sept. 27 at the Sheraton Sand Key Resort. It’s with much pomp and circumstance that we add these two individuals to the celebrated company of past recipients.

Tens of thousands of homeowners statewide are at risk of losing their insurance policies, as dozens of regional carriers face potential rating downgrades that would deem these companies financially unstable and unable to adequately pay claims.
The money can be used for highway and transit projects, bicycle and pedestrian projects and port facilities that help improve evacuations or disaster relief.
As more communities welcome spaceports, questions are popping up about the facilities’ effects on the land and wildlife nearby.
Congress gave the first authorization act for NASA in five years that included the thumbs up to keep the International Space Station running until 2030.
The Florida Wildlife Corridor is a state-wide network of public and private lands encompassing nearly 18-million acres that stretches from the Panhandle to the Everglades.
