The name of the study is “Experiencing Christmas” by Matt Rawle.

Northminster Presbyterian Church is beginning two new programs for children: Kids Connection and Crossroads. Kids Connection is designed to familiarize young children with stories in the Bible and help them through the early stages of a life-long, meaningful faith journey. Kids Connection is for children 4-6 years old and meets weekly on Tuesdays from 3:30 - 4:15, beginning January 30th. Crossroads is designed to engage youth in meaningful dialogue with scripture, helping them to see themselves in the stories and relate them to their own personal experiences, and develop a rich, lasting faith that will enrich their daily lives. Crossroads is for youth 7-12 years old and will meet weekly on Thursdays from 3:30 - 4:30 PM, beginning February 1st.
Please go to nmpres.org/youth-programs to register.
If you are interested in registering your child for either program but the time does not work for you, or if you have any other questions, please reach out to Kevin at minassoc@nmpres.org.

Regarding Ruling Elders: A Monthly Series for Serving Faithfully
Demonstrating a New Quality of Life Within
and Through the Church
It seems quite natural to think about a new quality of life at the beginning of a new year. As we continue to examine the ways that faithful members are “involved responsibly in the ministry of Christ’s Church” (G-1.0304), it’s appropriate to examine what it means to demonstrate a new quality of life at the same time that we are faced with a turn of the calendar. Does it fit into the most common new year resolutions like losing weight, exercising more, getting more organized, traveling, or reading more? Is that the new quality of life that we are looking for?

All these members have a particular gift to do something and are called to teach, to exhort, to give, to lead, to cheer, to comfort, or to act in a way that reflects their God-given talent. We are members to do something as part of the body of Christ.
