Score markups in PDF, rehearsal tracks in MP3, and other important information for the AMC Christmas concert "Here We Come A-Caroling" are now on the AMC website, with more to come. Scores for the March and May concerts will be uploaded soon so we can begin preparing those more challenging works.
Simply click the "Chorister News and Info" link in the footer of any AMC web page, or Chorister News under the "About AMC" dropdown menu in the page header, use the password "Chorister", and follow the link to the concert materials.
Scott has marked scores with phrasing, breathing, pronunciation, and other info, and recorded individual voice rehearsal tracks and some full accompaniments for your preparation at home.
As he mentioned at our first rehearsal, it's vital for you to use these resources before you come to Monday evening rehearsals so you're ready to work on creating AMC's ensemble sound.
PLEASE USE THESE RESOURCES SO YOUR MARKINGS ARE IN PLACE BEFORE COMING TO ENSEMBLE REHEARSAL SO WE CAN PUT OUR TIME TOGETHER TO THE BEST USE.
If you use paper copies of sheet music provided by librarian Cheryl Burton, please copy Scott's markings in pencil with no highlighting. Or if you wish, you can download the PDF files and print them or load them on your tablet, save the transcribing, and highlight to your heart's content.
Also on the Chorister News page are a roster of this season's AMC singers and music staff and a link to the season calendar with all rehearsal and concert dates.

ENSEMBLE REHEARSALS (Update)
Rehearsals for AMC's 2022-2023 season are at our regular location, Ascension Lutheran Church (ALC), 7100 North Mockingbird Lane, Paradise Valley. Regular ensemble rehearsals are Mondays from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Enter through the north door, just off the parking lot. Starting Monday, September 19, rehearsals will be in the basement choir room, not in the sanctuary.
MESSIAH SING-ALONG
AMC choristers will join the Women's Orchestra of Arizona (WOA) to lead a sing-along of the Christmas section of Handel's "Messiah" on Sunday, November 20, 3:00 PM at Ascension Lutheran, with an orchestra sound check on Friday, November 18 at 7:00 PM. The event is free and open to the public with no rehearsal required. It's produced under the auspices of The Arts at Ascension, an artistic partnership between AMC, ALC, and WOA.
AMC will not be providing paper scores. If you have a Messiah score, any edition, just bring it along, or you can download a choral score in PDF; just follow the links on the AMC and Arts at Ascension websites.
MANDATORY SINGING FOR SCOTT
