Dear Friends,

The Ladies Conference

Thank you for praying for the Ladies Conference which took place here in our church last Saturday. There was wonderful fellowship among the ladies from at least nine churches throughout Qubec. The feedback so far has been very encouraging. It is clear that God used His Word in a positive way in many lives. All of the sessions were appreciated and it was a good first speaking experience for our daughter Stephanie.
"My times are in Thy hand..." (Ps 31.15)
Catherine has taken a turn for the worse. Valerie has not been doing well either. Yesterday, the pastor's wife went over to help with the children because neither Valerie nor Catherine were doing well. We will be flying Melanie down to SC on Thursday to help for a little over three weeks until Catherine's appointment with the specialist in Montreal on October 29th. We were able to get a return ticket for Melanie on the same day that Catherine was already scheduled to return via Burlington, VT on October 28th. We knew this was a "trial run" for Catherine. Thankfully, our Son-in-law Jrmie will be able to handle the service this evening in order for us to make the four and a half hour trip down to the airport. Thank you for your continued prayers in this matter.
Yours for French-speaking Canadians,
