Sowing Seeds Ministry

Sowing Seeds of Faith

Dear friends,

My friends, the Word of God has long been something stressed in the Prayer Needs Ministry.  Something else is also on my heart that I would like to share with you.  Quite a few of you are, more than likely, active participants in a local church.  In my opinion, an opinion that I believe can be substantiated directly by the Word of God, the Bible, the local church is the appropriate place for corporate worship.  Though each and every one of us ought to personally and individually read the Bible frequently and pray, it is also important for those of like faith to spend time together, and this view is specifically supported by the scripture passage in Hebrews - read Chapter ten, verses nineteen through twenty five in particular.

My fervent prayer is that each one of us involved in this ministry will take time every single day to read the Bible.  I provide some scriptures each week to consider.  You may use them if you like, or even better, develop your own methods of daily study and meditation, based on the Word of God.  Ask God to work in your heart.  Pray for forgiveness of sin, and examine your own life first, and then prepare yourself to pray for the requests in this week's prayer needs letter.

Thank you once again for being an important contributor to this ministry.  It is valued and greatly appreciated!

Endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

I have given him for a witness to the people, a leader and a commander to the people. It became him, for whom are all things and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through suffering. We must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.
We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God. We do not war after the flesh: (for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds.)
The God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, establish, strengthen, settle you.

Prayer Request:
My son has asked me to move to Galax (where he and his fiance live) and I want to but I have been unsuccessful at finding a job. I want to move but I am concerned that I want to because I have nothing here. I have been divorced for 10 years and have had only one significant relationship during that time that lasted for 2 years. I am just a few months from my 50th birthday and I don't want to spend the rest of my life alone. I also don't want to consume my son's life and become a burden to him. I have prayed about this daily but I am still in turmoil. Please pray that God reveals His plan to me. I want to follow His will.  Thank you.

Prayer Request: Please pray for my 14 year old granddaughter and her family.  I pick up my granddaughter for Sunday School and church.  She goes two Sundays, then skips two or three in a row. Her parents don't go very often.  I have two requests.   1.  that my granddaughter will go every Sunday and 2. that mom and dad  will start coming.    Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get her and the parents to come oftener without  being pushy?  I have a prayer partner who has panic attacks.  She needs prayer for healing.  Thank you all for praying.  Barbara

Prayer Request: Hello Family and Friends!
Please keep my niece Megan in your prayers, as my sister explains below, God had His hand in this as it could have and should have been a lot worse. Thanking you in advance for God healing her with no complications. Be well!  Tricia
Megan's friend was driving the SUV on their way to breakfast followed by some friends - when she got cut off and driven off the road by an elderly  woman - and over corrected when she went into the median.  At the time, Megan was up in her seat, actually standing with her back up against the ceiling - turned around - getting her wallet out of the back seat - when the SUV flipped four times. That's why the injuries are on her left side and not her right.  Megan said she looked at Sammie when her head was upside down and saw her grip the wheel.  During one of the flips, Megan went through the passenger glass window which was closed, but miraculously somehow ended up on a patch of grass.   Her friend tried grabbing her feet as she went out the window - and the witnesses said they don't understand how Megan didn't touch the pavement.  She looked like she was jumping through the air.

Scripture:
Read the Bible this year.  You can find a calendar to read the entire Bible  at
http://www.dailyway.com/ReadTheBibleOnline.html
That is not the only location, nor the only on line translation.  There are many others available if you prefer other translations.  Nothing wrong with reading a good, old fashioned Bible, either.  The important thing is to faithfully read the Bible daily because reading the Bible builds your faith, for "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."  Romans 10:17, KJV

Please pray for the nations of this world, and certainly for the leaders of your own country.  I believe that this is God's will, as this is mentioned specifically in scripture.

There is amazing power in united prayer.

Remember 2 Chronicle 7:14: 'If my people who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land".

If you ever need to change your subscription information, whether changing your Email address or you need to stop receiving the messages for any reason, note the subscription information and the contact information at the bottom of each message.  Just as our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ is a choice, the privilege of sharing with others in prayer is also a choice - your choice.

I urge you to prayerfully consider these needs and thank God for the privilege of being able to approach His Throne directly in prayer, all made possible by Jesus the Son, and that is why it is in His Name that we pray.

Yours in Christ,
Brian Masinick
