Effective Weed Control for Perennial Plots
Effective Weed Control for Perennial Plots

Oct 16, 2014

Team Tecomate started the 2014 season off with a bang! Bubba Belk took a possible muzzleloader world record whitetail buck in Kansas, while our Tecomate cameras were rolling. His buck

rough green scored at 232 2/8 gross with a typical frame of 224. The left side alone scored 113. Make no mistake, this is a free range fair chase buck that is truly world class! Read about his hunt below.

Tecomate Co-Host Jordan Shipley, friend, Sam Shackelford and Don Horton also opened up the year in Kansas killing three nice bucks with their Traditions Strikerfire Muzzleloaders. Not to be outdone, David Morris and David Shashy took 150-class bucks on another KS property. Shipley then took a mature Montana mulie with his Hoyt bow; while Morris traveled to Wyoming and took a beauty of a mulie with good friend, Jadee Kroeger of Country Kroeger Outfitters. Want to go on future hunts this year with Team Tecomate? You can now, with our NEW "From the Field" Reports.

Food Plot Management
Laying Out Your Food Plots - Part II
By David Morris

Ok, you have a handle on the total acreage of food plots needed, but how many plots do you need, what size should they be and where should they go. You can't really answer any of these questions without giving thought to the others since they're all related and interdependent. The number of plots depends in part on what size they are, and vice versa. And, in areas with limited tillable land, the distribution of the tillable land and how much of it there is at each site will go along way in determining both the number and size of food plots. Still, there are ways to come to logical decisions. Read More

Bucks of Tecomate Episode 6 - Blaine's Canadian Muzzleloader Traditions

Tecomate Pro Staffer and Plotmaster founder, Blaine Burley is returning to Outback Outfitters for the early muzzleloader season. Guide, Troy Folden, has plenty of Reconyx Camera photos of monster deer for Blaine to go after. But, will they show up in daylight hours during this pre-rut hunt? Let's see if Blaine's success continues from years past as he hunts Saskatchewan's vast provincial forest.
