The City of Middletown and its Youth Services Bureau is conducting a study to learn about ways to better serve youth in Middletown and provide needed support and connection following the disruption of the COVID years.

We are looking to recruit four subgroups for this research:

  • Students in grades 9-12 (from any school)
  • Parents of school-aged children (pre-K through 12th)
  • Educators/staff within the Middletown school system
  • Youth-serving professionals within Middletown-based organizations/programs (could including after-school programs and mental health support)

Parents and youth must live in Middletown to participate. Educators and program staff can reside anywhere but must work within Middletown schools and/or city organizations.

If you are chosen to participate, you will take part in a 45 minute 1:1 remote interview, over Zoom.

The interview will cover topics such as leadership, connection with the community, where/how support is found, and other topics about what your life is like in a “post-pandemic world.”

Participation is voluntary, your name won’t be identified in the reporting, and there are no right or wrong answers.

All participants will receive a $25 gift card.

If you are interested in participating, please fill out this brief survey using the QR code above or directly at: surveymonkey.com/r/83MQ6BH

Your answers in the interest form will help us select participants for the study. Responses will only be shared with the project team.

Please feel free to share this email with your networks and distribution groups. You can also spread the word using the flyer and handout linked below.
