PVSD Bookaneer Book Fair

Friday, Sept 23 - Friday, Sept 30 in the Ormondale MUR

PVSD's Bookaneer Book Fair is almost here.  Once again, we will host a Scholastic Signature Fair with additional easy-to-navigate cases, more series, more middle grade titles, and more adult titles.

The book fair will be open before, during and after school in the Ormondale MUR.   Highlights of the fair will include:
  • Popsicle Preview from 2:50 - 4pm on Fri, 9/23
  • Family Fun Night with Curveball Slider Truck (vegetarian options available), from 5-7pm on Tues, 9/27
  • Bagels and Books Breakfast (for children and caregivers) from 7:45 - 8:30am on Fri, 9/30

This is a very fun volunteer opportunity with many options to suit your schedule. Sign up here:

The book fair is the only source of supplemental support for libraries at both Ormondale and Corte Madera.  Last year, almost 50% of all sales came back to the libraries! Come buy a book and help build our schools' libraries!

Word from Principal Sartor

DROP OFF and PICK UP Reminders
As a reminder, at drop off and pick up, vehicles are to stay in a single file line and children must exit and enter vehicles from the right-side of the car only, near the curb.  Please say quick goodbyes and remain in your vehicle during drop off.

For those not in the pick up line, please keep bikes, strollers, scooters, and socializing away from where the children sit as it becomes increasingly difficult to get children to their cars and congests the pick up process.

Thank you for your attention to this matter!

CMS Original Works

ORIGINAL WORKS

Would you like to have your child's artwork on a coffee mug or notecards, AND support the school's PTO? The Original Works Program allows you to do both.

Students can see Ms. Horgan, the CMS art teacher, to get the paper required for the program, or take a piece from the Original Works box in the front office. Artwork should be created with marker, crayon, or paint; pastels, glitter, and reflective material are not allowed. It is also recommended that if using color pencil or crayon, to color boldly to make sure the colors show when printed. Students are not doing an Original Works project during art class this year. Participation is voluntary.

Artwork should be given to Ms. Horgan by  Wednesday, 9/28.

Thank you for your support,
Ms. Horgan and CMS PTO
