PORTLAND WATER SUPPLY MONITORED

Much Press has been given to the ongoing drought in the West. As can be seen on the map above, all of the West is in some sort of drought.  In addition, the heat this past week was unseasonably warm and our irrigation need this spring has been greater than normal. However, the Portland area is not as bad as most of the remainder of Oregon and all of California.

The  Portland Water Bureau announced on 5/28/15 that "We expect to have adequate baseline and augmentation supplies to meet water demand, even in a warm, dry summer."  But also said  that "Water conservation will continue to be a key component of effective water supply management."

We are always focusing on water conservation as whether plentiful or in low supply, water is expensive.  We manage the systems we control diligently and continually evaluate new technology to improve water conservation. Count on us to guide you and your landscape through the drought of 2015 and beyond. http://www.pacscape.com/sustainable/weather-based-irrigation.php
