On April 26, 2017, the Portland Material Transparency Collaborative (PMTC) & the International Living Future Institute (ILFI) Portland Collaborative are throwing an event "Let's Talk Transparency" as part of Design Week Portland. This Pecha Kucha style event gathers diverse voices in industries that address material transparency in their work. From fashion, to food, to transportation, to buildings, we will hear from industry leaders about how they implement material transparency in their supply chain, fabrication processes and end products. The cross pollination of major industries in Portland will fuel a lively conversation highlighting health impacts from the stuff that is our material world.

The Portland Material Transparency Collaborative (PMTC) is a network of building industry professionals dedicated to integrating full disclosure of material content as a performance benchmark in the way products are developed, designed and integrated into the built environment. The goal of PMTC is to stimulate market transformation and community engagement with a unified regional voice for the implementation of material transparency into everyday practices.

The Portland Collaborative is a branch of both the Cascadia Green Building Council and the International Living Future Institute (ILFI). Their mission is to lead a transformation toward a built environment that is socially just, culturally rich and ecologically restorative. They achieve their mission through research and advocacy, communication and networking events where local professionals share ideas and learn from each other.
