Chamber Golf Outing 2018
The 36th Annual Portage Area Chamber of Commerce Golf Outing will be held on Wednesday, June 13 at the Portage Country Club.
This is a fun opportunity to network with many fellow Chamber members on the fairways and greens.

The outing is the largest fundraiser for the Portage Chamber.
Pre-game activities begin at 9:30am with call to carts for the shotgun start at 11am. At 5:30pm, a buffet style dinner at The NorthShore Restaurant will be served. Register your foursome now. Golf is $100 per person and includes buffet. Call 608-742-6242 for more details.
Concert in the Park & Festival Foods Fireworks
A great summer tradition continues when the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra returns to play at Portage's Pauquette Park for the 26th consecutive year on Saturday, June 30. Stick around for the great Festival Foods Fireworks display following the concert at 9:30pm.

Bring a picnic dinner, a blanket or chair and enjoy Pepsi products while listening to the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra.

Free Summer Lunch Program
The Free Summer Lunch program is free to kids 18 and under and will be served Monday through Friday starting June 11 through August 31. There will be four locations serving lunches: The Portage Public Library from 11:15am to 11:45am; the Splash Pad at Goodyear Park from 11:10 to 11:35am; Lincoln Park from 11:45 to 12:05pm; and Sanborn Park from 12:20 to 12:40pm.

The meals, based upon USDA nutrition guidelines, must be eaten on site and no proof of income is needed. For more information, contact the UW-Extension at 608-742-9684.

Summer Library Program
The Summer Library Program (SLP) runs June 4 through July 26 with registration beginning Monday, June 4. Please see library flyers and the Children's Facebook page for more information on all Summer Library Program events.

Customer Appreciation Days at
Community Bank
Community Bank of Portage will be celebrating Customer Appreciation Days with free ice cream on Thursday, June 21 from 11am to 2pm and a free cook-out on Friday, June 22 from 11am to 1pm.

Community Bank of Portage is located at 2930 New Pinery Road.
Portage Lions Club fundraiser
The Portage Lions Club is raising money for a bubbler at the Splash Pad at Goodyear Park to provide refreshment to the kids and adults who frequent the park. The desired time frame for the install is next spring.

The picture at right gives an idea of what a the bubbler will look like; the lion will fit right in with the current Splash Pad water features. There will be a fundraiser at Pizza Ranch on Thursday, June 21 from 4pm to 7pm to raise money for the project. Donations can also be sent to the Lions' at PO Box 531.
Citywide Garage Sales
The Citywide Garage Sales will be held Thursday through Saturday, June 7-9. Looking to get rid of that gym set you never used or old snowblower that you replaced with a new one? This is your chance!

Goodwill hiring Store Supervisor; Retail Associates
Goodwill is looking to hire a Retail Store Supervisor to spend most of the day on the sales floor working along side team members ensuring that Goodwill customers have a positive shopping experience. Ribbon Cuttings
A ribbon cutting was held at The Rivers, 621 Latton Lane, to welcome this new business to Portage.

A ribbon cutting was held at the Portage Rod & Gun Club, W10450 Highway 16, to welcome this new Chamber member.

They offer members full use of their outdoor pistol and rifle ranges, archery range, 4 trap stations, and skeet station. Trap and skeet are also available to the public. The clubhouse is well equipped for meetings, weddings, or other functions with ample seating for large groups, and a separate bar area complete with two wide-screen televisions.
