Three Illinois teams took home US Youth Soccer Midwest Regional Championship titles and have earned advancement to the US Youth Soccer National Championships in July.

Congratulations to the following Illinois teams that won a US Youth Soccer Midwest Regional Championship:

  • Ponys FC: 13U Boys
  • Raiders FC: 14U Boys
  • Galaxy SC: 15U Girls

For Ponys FC it will be their first trip to the National Championships while Raiders FC and Galaxy SC have lots of National experience. While it will be the 2009 team's first trip to Nationals, this year's regional title was the 5th for Raiders FC as a club. Galaxy SC 15U Girls were the 2022 US Youth Soccer National Champions and have earned a return trip to Disney to defend their crown.

In addition to the three champions, three Illinois teams also finished as Regional Finalists.

  • Evolution SC: 14U Girls
  • Galaxy SC: 14U Boys
  • Galaxy SC: 15U Boys

Despite losing to Raiders in an all Illinois 14U Boys Regional Final, Galaxy SC will also be traveling to the National Championships in Orlando, thanks to their stellar play in the US Youth Soccer National League, which earned them a bid to Nationals. In total, Illinois will have 16 teams competing at the National Championships, earning their spot either thru winning the Regional Championships or the National League.

Overall, the 27 Illinois teams at the Midwest Regional Championships put on an impressive performance.

  • 40 Wins - 21 Losses - 20 Draws in Group Play
  • 12 out of 27 teams advanced to semifinals
  • 6 teams advanced to the Championship match including an all Illinois Final in the 14U Boys Division.
