Finished work should be framed and ready to hang, with picture-hanging wire (no sawtooth hangers) attached. Please plan for this in advance. Do not sign your work on the front until after judging has been completed.
Each artist may submit 2 pieces for jurying. All officially submitted works are expected to be exhibited (barring the unlikely event that we run out of wall space, in which case the judge will decide). All paintings exhibited will be judged in the competition and will be eligible for awards.
The cash awards will be $500 for Best in Show, $300 for Second Place, and $100 for Third Place.
On Oct. 23, the pieces are judged by the renowned watercolorist David Rankin, S.A.A., A.F.C., O.W.S., with the winning pieces announced at a reception that day, from 3 to 6 pm. After that, the exhibit will be available for viewing during regular Peninsula Art Academy hours (Thurs. through Sun., 11 am to 5 pm) through Nov. 20.
