May there be kindness in your gaze when you look within.

The Help a Friend Fund

Have you been thinking about joining TTIA but the dues are not in the budget (especially with exchange rates)? The Help a Friend Fund is here for you! Many of our members donate little bits and not so little bits to help others become or stay members of TTIA. You can access the Help a Friend Fund by contacting us at ttia@therapeutictouch.org and letting us know what you need.

You can fill out the membership application here: Membership Application - Therapeutic Touch International Association. First Year dues are $45.00, and we are happy to help with all or part of that. After your first year of membership the dues are $75.00 for an Individual and $50.00 for a Senior (65 and up). Our Fund helps with anything up to 100%.

If you want to help out with dues for new members or anyone in our TT community in need, donations may be made at Donations, Dues and Fees - Therapeutic Touch International Association.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Update of TT Community Care Facilitators eligibility!

During the recent webinar on TT Community Care Facilitators, it became clear that we needed to revise the application process. Any member who has been practicing TT for at least two years is eligible to apply. Every place on the application where it says QTTP or QTTT, we have added “or equivalent: RTTP/RTTT, RP/RT, QTTPA, QTTTA.” You can view the revised application on TTIA website (https://therapeutictouch.org/therapeutic-touch-community-courses-ttcc/).

...states of consciousness are actual conditions which are different from one another but not separate--either from each other or the body itself. The subtle fields co-exist within the same space, and influence each other. Their distinctiveness lies in the fact that each has its own unique type of energy and rate of vibration. This makes it possible for the various fields to exert their special effects and at the same time interpenetrate and interact with the other fields without interference.

It is difficult to find an analogy to this phenomena in terms of ordinary experience. Perhaps the whole effect is achieved in somewhat the same way that the unique sound of a musical chord is created by combining different tones, each of which can be distinguished by a trained ear. The experience of listening to music is the best analogy I can think of, because the differences between the subtle fields are essentially harmonic in nature. Each dimension of consciousness has its range of frequencies, and plays a particular part in the total orchestration of a human being.

--Dora Kunz, The Personal Aura page 13.

Charles Elkind put together an informative and fun birthday party for Dora on Sunday, April 28; it would have been her 120th. He featured passages from the second chapter of Dora's book The Personal Aura, as well as excerpts from an audio of one of her talks. We concluded the program with memories of Dora. Thanks Charlie. And thank you Dora!.

Therapeutic Touch Awareness Week May 6 - 12

Therapeutic Touch Network of Ontario is inviting all TT members, during Therapeutic Touch Awareness Week, to introduce Therapeutic Touch to someone outside of our TT community. The Therapeutic Touch Network of Ontario Task Group has been encouraging all network members to participate in a week of Therapeutic Touch outreach activities in communities throughout Canada for seven years. Dee always hoped to have Therapeutic Touch used in every home. We’d love to build momentum to make Therapeutic Touch a household name. It could be an organization, a friend, a high school class, a hospice, a Long Term Care facility ... The list is endless. We have lots of resources to support you.
