Please give to NEYIC (North End Youth Improvement Council) and the Adopt  Child Program and bring a smiles the the faces of children who are less fortunate. For over 55 years, Mrs. Delores Bennett and her small team of family and volunteers have given their all to makes sure that children in Metropolitan Detroit enjoy and experience the joy of Christmas. Her simple act and labor of love has become a holiday institution and has grown to serving over 3000 families annually. 

"When I started Adopt A Child I never imagine the need in our area would be this big", stated Mrs. Bennett.  "We started Adopt A Child 55 years ago when a mother in my community came to me and shared she was planning to commit suicide and kill her children because she could not provide presents for her children. I promised God I would use everything I had to make sure no parent would feel like their options were limited". 

Since 1961 NEYIC has served nearly 100,000 children. It is literally impossible to travel throughout Detroit and not meet individuals who have not personally benefited from Mrs. Bennett's Adopt A Child Program. have put smiles on hundreds of thousands of children in the Detroit area. We need you help! 

Tuesday, November 29th, 2016 is Giving Tuesday, please help keep this legacy alive and support NEYIC continue to place super smiles on the faces of children in Metropolitan Detroit area.  Unlike many non profits, NEYIC is a volunteer driven program so over 90% of your contribution goes directly to our activities, programming and our unique year-round Adopt A Child services.

The annual Adopt A Child operating expenses to gather over 3000 families and another 1000 plus adoptive parents is increasing significantly. We are committed to making our December 2nd annual event a celebration that honors our guests (children and their families in Metropolitan Detroit).
